Imprecation rises again from the blasted lands of Texas with their darkest spell ever, Damnatio Ad Bestia! This album expands upon the themes of their 2013 debut Satanae Tenebris Infinita with deadly results. An aura of true Satanic majesty is unleashed in tracks like, “Temple of the Foul Spirit”, “Morbid Crucifixion”, and “Baptized in Satan's Blood”. Bludgeoning guitars, battering drums, and haunting keys create an experience that will terrify the unbelievers and convert the uninitiated. Cover art by Sebastian Mazuera, interior art by Mark Riddick.

The previous albums didn’t convince as effectively, but everything fits together here. It has barbaric but clear production. The drums sound like they belong in a reboot of Conan. True menace is felt from the vocals. Imprecation sounds like a band that will do you harm. Probably the most convincing orthodox death metal record since the 90s. Metallurgical Fire

I'm kicking my own ass for somehow missing this when it released. Expertly arranged death metal with kick drums that could demolish a high-rise. zirtonic

Distilled death metal with catchy riffs and well written songs. It's not reinventing the wheel or anything but it's osdm, if that's what you want look elsewhere. grahamy
